Solar Eclipse CD - Out of Print on September 20th - September 7, 2008

The Solar Eclipse CD (by Signe Miranda's Veranda) will soon be 'out of print'. We feel that it is no longer representative of the band's sound, so we've decided to take it offline and shelve the CD by September 20th (the anniversary of the release). We're working on a new CD and will be posting a demo song online.

House Concerts - April 28, 2008

If you're interested in booking Signe to play a house concert, please send an email to mail@signemiranda.com for more details.

A house concert is usually held in a person's house, in a private club, or outdoors, or in some other similar location. It's organized by a host, rather than the performer and typically there's a cover charge of $8-20/person, with the money going to the performer (often minus expenses), sometimes with a guarantee.

SIGNE MIRANDA RELEASES HER NEW EP "LOVE WINS"
-TUESDAY JUNE 26TH AT ZEMRA, 778 ST. CLAIR AVE. W., 8:30PM

TORONTO – Wednesday, June 20th, 2007 – Signe Miranda will celebrate the
release of "Love Wins", her latest CD, on Tuesday June 26th at Zemra, 778
St. Clair Ave. W., 8:30 p.m. Advance tickets (available at
signemiranda.com) are $6 (ticket + cd) or $3 (ticket only) and $10 (ticket
+ cd) or $5 (ticket only) at the door.

Toronto-based singer/songwriter Signe Miranda has been playing her songs
for live audiences for seven years. She “is small of stature but large of
presence on stage and on the local TO music scene." (Gary 17, to-nite
magazine) A bedroom recording, the album is built mostly upon acoustic
guitar and vocals, though it does include some guest musicians (Brian
Allossery, Sarah Greene and Laura Fernandez) who will accompany her at the
show and play their own sets as well.

According to Signe, "the five-song EP explores themes of love lost and won
in a sincere alt-folk-pop style.” The album begins with a song about hope
of reunion, goes on to an all-out love song, then explores themes of loss,
waiting and loneliness. There’s an overriding theme of hope throughout the
album.

You can hear the influence of various genres in Signe's music, including
alt-country, pop, rock, alternative and punk. Love wins showcases her
acoustic side, but she also leads Toronto-based folk/punk band Signe
Miranda’s Veranda and is the drummer and backup singer in local roots-rock
band The Pickups.

On June 26th, Signe launches "Love Wins" with the support of special
guests Brian Allossery, Sarah Greene and Laura Fernandez.
